CORVID-19 is still here and you are asked to be safe whilst out in the North West of Scotland. Current restrictions have been relaxed recently. Even so, please do not go out in the area if you are showing signs of Corvid-19. When out paddling or hillwalking make sure you give people space - 1m at least and preferable 2m. Remember that if it feels too crowded then you can walk away and try somewhere else; the environment will still be there tomorrow. Also remember the emergency services, the RNLI and the MRT. They will come out to rescue you but they should not have to put themselves into danger from this virus.

Take Care Out There.

Park at the side of the road near to the uphill track..

Follow the track to the building at Rhigolter. From here there is a distinct lack of a path. The route is heading to the col between the two hills. Walk south to reach a stream and then follow the stream as it falls steply down the hillside. towards the col, which is protected by a rocky outcrop. Follow the obvious gap in the rocks to the col. The summit of Cranstackie is an easy walk south down the ridge. (4.5kms. 800m. 3hrs. 0min.)

Return to the col via the uphill royte but this time follow the route to the summit of Beinn Spionnaidh. (2.0kms. 220m. 1hrs. 10min.)

The descent is by the uphill route, so return to the col easily along the ridge. Cut down the slopes of Cranstackie with the first step carefully through the rocky outcrops, then down the grassy slopes to reach Rhigolter and then back to the roadon the track. (4kms. 0m. 1hrs. 10min.)
