CORVID-19 is still here and you are asked to be safe whilst out in the North West of Scotland. Current restrictions have been relaxed recently. Even so, please do not go out in the area if you are showing signs of Corvid-19. When out paddling or hillwalking make sure you give people space - 1m at least and preferable 2m. Remember that if it feels too crowded then you can walk away and try somewhere else; the environment will still be there tomorrow. Also remember the emergency services, the RNLI and the MRT. They will come out to rescue you but they should not have to put themselves into danger from this virus.

Take Care Out There.

Glas Bheinn is not one of the well know peaks of this area sitting, as it does, just north of the two Munros of Ben More Assynt and Conival. However by it's location the walker has a is a grand view of the area from the upper slopes. There is a good stalker's track a lot of the way relieving some of the "yomping".

There is a large car park just off the A837 near to the Inchnadamph Hotel, used largely by walkers making for Ben More Assynt.

Walk up (north) the road to he bridge over the Allt Poll an Droighinn. There is aa track up this valley which is followed. After some 900m there is a stalkers track breaking off left. Follow this as it follows the river valley then goes north over some rough hillside to get to Loch Fleodach and continue until the col. from here break off right to climb the final slopes of Glas Bheinn. There is a more direct ascent from the north, but this is pathless. (7.5kms. 700m. 3hrs. 40min.)

There is no alternative than descending by the uphill roiute. Desend the slopes to reach the stalkers path and then follow this back to the road. (7.5kms. 0m. 2hrs. 10min.)
